10:37 pm - Love You Long Time

It has been all too long since I have been on the LJ. I've been busy living life and having a grand ol time. I don't wanna bore anybody who doesn't care, so we'll keep this cute and simple. lol
I have officially decided that I'm going through a mid-mid-life crisis of sorts. I don't really know what I want to do with my life and have no idea where I'm headed at the moment. But somehow I am the happiest I've been in a long time. I'm out there, trying new things, meeting new people and attempting to discover the real Charese. I used to go through life just doing things I thought others wanted me to do. I was always trying to impress someone and never realized how unhappy I was living someone else's life. This is not the case any longer. I freakin love making my own decisions and not having to feel like explaining it to someone. Just bein out there, having fun and living life to the fullest. I'm sure I'll figure out which path I need to follow eventually, but for now I am perfectly content with exploring. It's kind of exciting not knowing where the road will take me. I'm even contemplating a move to Washington with a friend. That one's still an iffy but it's definitely on the table! Life is good, I'm changing and learning and I love it.

I've been wanting one FOREVER but I've been too afraid to get one cus I'm a baby and thought it would hurt. And believe me I was nervous as hell when I was lying on the table waiting for him to prep the colors and such. But it didn't hurt at all!! It kinda stung, especially when he went back over areas while filling in the colors, but it really wasn't bad. I got it on my waist line.
Before I actually got my tattoo, everyone told me that once I got the first one done, I would want more. I would always just laugh at them cus I never really thought of myself as a multiple tattoo kind of girl, but it really is addicting cus I am seriously thinking about getting another one. This time I think I would do it on my lower back. I think I even have one picked out!! But I'll probly wait a few months so I can get used to this one. ;)
Anyways...I have just been really excited about it and thought I would share the excitement with you all.

School this semester is quickly coming to a close and I find myself wondering, what the hell am I doing??
When people ask me what I'm going to school for, I reply with the usual answer: Finishing up my degree in Chemistry, then moving on to medical school to study anesthesiology. To which I always get the stunned look and the, "WOW!!"
Today I answered that question, but didn't actually feel like that's what I really wanted to do, but that it was more just something to aspire to and make my mom happy for the moment. Is it really worth all the hell of medical school and the MCAT just to make my mom happy and prove a few people wrong??
So then I start thinking what I would do if I don't go for the doctor thing...I have no clue. Is it bad that I am 22 and have no definite plan of what I want to do with my life?? When I see people from high school and we do the 30-second catch up routine, I always feel like they have all these interesting things to say about their lives so far, and mine doesn't go any further than still in school, working at Costco and living with my boyfriend's grandma. :S
I sort of talked about it with Paul today and he made me feel a little better, but then he just got my mind back onto the question of whether or not I really want to be a doctor.
Maybe I should just stop worrying about it and just try to finish school with decent grades. When it comes down to it, there's really nothing to be "jealous' about with my friends from high school. They're all married and most have kids, so basically they're pretty much stuck with the lives they have right now. As for me, I have nothing to really tie me down, so I am pretty free to do whatever the hell I want. I just need to keep that in mind and keep on swimming!!

1:13 pm - Bend over in Wendover!

So I just got back from my weekend in Wendover. Me and my bf went cus it was my birthday on Friday and we had a lot of fun.
We took some money for gambling, and I'm sad to announce we didn't win anything. We're newbies and lost everything, but we had a lot of fun doing it!! It's ok, though cus we really didn't lose that much and we weren't expecting to come back with anything, so it's all good in the end.
I have discovered that the slot machines are not very fun. Just a very quick and somewhat boring way to lose a lot of money. Every once in awhile you hit it sort of big and it gives you a false sense of security to keep going and possibly win more, but then you just end up losing what you started with and the money you won. ;)
My fav was the black jack table. I am not very good at it yet, but I am getting better. One of the dealers we had was really sooper cool and made it a BLAST!! He even gave me a *rare* poker chip from one of their deer widows weekends. (It's got naked men on it...hehe)
Although we didn't win anything, we had a great time down there and it was nice to spend a weekend together without worrying about anyone else and their dramas. Just the two of us there together, having a blast. We did get the chance to go to the discount liquor store (Cha-CHING!!!), and the Wendover version of Blue Boutique, so we had plenty to do in the hotel room. ;)
All in all, a very good birthday weekend and I'm so glad we went!!

The word of the day...cogitate.
What a nifty sounding word. I simply love it. I think I shall use it in conversations from now on because i love it so much. It just sounds like something you do with your food. But has absolutely nothing to do with food. Just saying the word causes me to cogitate. I LOVE IT!!!

13) Dating or single?: well, i did have a junior high boyfriend at this time 10 years ago, but we only "dated" for about 3 weeks, never even held hands, and had a very public "break up"

Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to be going wrong right from the very beginning? Well, I have had one of those days today. Nothing very serious went wrong, it was just a bunch of little things that really started to get to me by the end of the day. My lover came over after work to visit me, and although I really liked him being there, I was in sort of a crabby mood because of how everything was going, so I wasn't the nicest of girlfriends. But he's awesome and dealt with my attitude and ended up making me feel a little better about some of the things that went wrong. It just kind of re-affirmed how much I love him and how much of a better person he makes me, without making me feel like I'm being stupid (although I am sometimes hehe). He is freakin amazing and I can't wait til we can finally get a house together and live together. This whole saying goodbye each night thing really kills me. I want him to just lay in bed with me all night so I can cuddle up to him, and most importantly, have him be the first person I see every morning. But anyways...just had to get the rest of my frustration out and let y'all know how fabulously in love with my boyfriend I am ;). Hope you all had a good Valentine's Day!!

Is it like impossible to just be friends with a guy?? I'm really starting to think it is, because most of the guys I'm friends with start out as just friends, but then they always want to make it more than that. I don't want anything more than friends, cus I already have an awesome boyfriend that I love more than anything!! I seriously just want some good friends and that is IT! There is only one guy that is seriously and honestly just my friend and not looking for anything more than that. He's like my bestest friend and I can talk to him about absolutely anything, and that's probably because I don't feel like I have to worry about him "wanting" me or anything like that. Why can't more guys be like him? They all just need to accept the fact that I have a boyfriend, I'm not breaking up with him, and get over themselves!!!! GEEEEEZ!!!!

So ya...while I was at work today, one of my fellow Costco employees backed into my poor little car just before it's 6-month birthday. It was a lady in a big truck, and I guess she was parked right next to me and started to back out, but didn't see my car so backed right into the side of it. When I talked to her on the phone, she said that she didn't know my car was there and she didn't even know she had hit it until she pulled away and saw it. I guess her truck was too big to feel it as she ran over my poor little midget baby. :( But luckily she was cool and left me her cell number and stuff. At least I won't have to worry about paying for it myself!! But the thing is...she called me while I was at the gym so she had to leave a voicemail for me, and she asked me to get an estimate on it cus she might want to just pay for it herself instead of going through her insurance. I took it to a place today and they estimated it at about $1900. That's A LOT!! Plus, they said the repairs would take 6 days, so that would mean this lady would need to pay for a rental for that long. I would think it would be a ton easier to just go through the insurance company, but what do I know?? So I'll have to call her back tomorrow and let her know the story. Hopefully she doesn't make it too hard cus I really don't want to deal with it. After all, I'm not the one that backed into HER car. ;) Well, I guess I'll have to post how it goes...and maybe I'll take some pics tomorrow. :(

As some of you may know, I am the Co-President of Students for Choice at my college. We are anwesome Pro-Choice club and we basically rock. But as you might guess, we don't always get the best looks and comments from people around here in Utah, since we do set up a table once a week and hand out condoms to students. But whatever.
nogias and I attended a banquet last night in celebration of all the things the different clubs have accomplished this year, and the Club Board also presented some awards. Lo and behold, my club won the Best Fall Semester Club. That is SO awesome!! I could not have been more excited and giddy on the inside and the out. We had to go up on stage and shake hands with a bunch of people, and I just could not get the humongous grin off my friggin face. It was a fabulous night and a perfect end to a great year.
I was so overly ecstatic that I just had to share with y'all...and to kinda let you know that I am still alive. ;) hehe
